Your subscription

Your subscription is what lets you start new work: scans, measurements and page work. It is the Founding Beta, a flat monthly price that includes a set of allowances. Everything you have already saved stays readable whether or not a subscription is active. The Founding Beta

Price	$99 USD a month, plus tax where required. Stripe Checkout shows the billing details and any tax before you pay.
Who	The first ten paying customers. A place is taken only once a payment is confirmed; creating an account or opening Checkout does not take one.
Price lock	Your $99 price is locked for twelve months from your first paid billing period.
Free trial	None. Paid access starts once Stripe confirms your first payment.
Renewal	Monthly through Stripe, until you cancel.
Included	The allowances listed in Allowances, counted per billing period. There are no overages: work that would go past an allowance is refused until the next period.
Billing period	Your Stripe billing period, not the calendar month. Settings → Usage shows the current one.
Cancel	Anytime. Access continues to the end of the period you already paid for.
Founding place	Once taken, it stays part of the first ten, even if you later cancel or delete your account.

Start your subscription

The first setup step, Plan, shows the Founding Beta. Press Continue to Checkout and pay in Stripe Checkout. When you come back, the App waits for Stripe to confirm the payment: returning from Checkout does not activate access on its own. If confirmation takes longer than expected, press Check subscription status, or Resume Checkout if you did not finish paying.

Where it shows in the App

Settings → Billing has one panel, Subscription:

Access	“New scans and page work are available” while your subscription is active. Otherwise “New scans and page work require an active subscription”, with “Your saved scans and history remain available.”
Subscription	Stripe’s status in plain words, such as “active” or “past due”, or “None”.

Manage billing opens Stripe’s billing portal, where you manage the subscription and cancel it. Settings → Usage shows the dates of the current billing period and what it has used.

Cancel

1. Open Settings → Billing and press Manage billing. Settings → Account has the same portal behind Cancel subscription, in the Delete account panel.
2. Cancel in Stripe.

Canceling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and your sites, scans, plans, copy and history stay. Canceling does not delete your account. After the paid period ends, Settings → Billing shows “New scans and page work require an active subscription”, and your saved work stays readable.

Payments are generally not refunded, and there are no prorated refunds for time left in a period, except where the law requires. The details are in the Billing, Cancellation & Refund Policy.

If a payment fails

If a payment fails or your subscription becomes past due, Querywright may stop new paid work until billing is repaired. Your saved work stays readable. Setup shows “Restore your subscription” with the Stripe status and “Repair billing to resume new operations.” Use Manage billing in Settings → Billing to update the subscription in Stripe.

Delete your account

Deleting your account is separate from canceling, and it takes effect right away. It is in Settings → Account, in the Delete account panel.

1. Press Delete account. The App lists what happens:
   • Your sites, scans, plans and copy are deleted. Querywright keeps only the records it is required to keep for billing, accounting and security.
   • Claude, ChatGPT and any other connected AI lose access to your account.
   • Billing stops. Paid time left isn’t refunded automatically, except where the law requires it.
   • Your paid Founding seat isn’t returned to the pool.
   • This can’t be undone.
2. Enter your current password under Confirm your current password.
3. Type DELETE under Type DELETE to confirm.
4. Press Delete my account, or Keep my account to stop.

The App then shows “Deleting your account”. Your access has already ended at this point. Press Continue deletion to stop billing and finish, and keep the page open until you see “Account deleted”. Trying again is safe if it does not finish the first time.

Does it use allowance?

No. Starting, canceling and managing your subscription use none of your allowances. A new billing period starts a fresh set of allowances, and your history stays.
