Working with your AI
When your AI asks first
Your AI asks before it uses included allowance and before it records a decision. These tables list both, with what counts as your answer.
Work that uses included allowance
The allowance names are the ones in Settings → Usage. Your plan is a flat price; these are included allowances, not charges. A yes covers the request your AI described; a different request needs a new yes.
| What your AI wants to do | Allowance it uses | What you will be asked |
|---|---|---|
| Scan a site, or one page of it, for the first time in a billing period | Sites researched | Nothing more: asking for the scan is your go-ahead. Your AI tells you if the scan counts toward your plan’s sites. Scanning the same site again in that period does not count again. |
| Measure search demand for exact searches | Keyword measurements | Which searches, in which market (country, region or city) and language |
| Run keyword research for broad ideas | Keyword exploration requests, plus Keyword measurements for a long list | The starting words, the market and the language |
| Fetch Google’s current results for a search | Manual Google results | Which searches, where, and desktop or mobile. Saved results for the same search, place, language and device under 24 hours old are reused and use nothing; your AI offers saved results first. |
| See the local pack for a search in a city | Manual Google results, fetched in that city | Which searches and which city. Tracking a search weekly in a city also needs its demand measured there (Keyword measurements) and a plan you approve. |
| Take links, standing and authority snapshots | Site Intelligence units | Which site or page. Snapshots for the same context under 7 days old are reused and use nothing. In the App, Evidence › Links asks “Acquire link snapshots?” |
| Read a page in a browser (a rendered page read) | Rendered page reads | Which page |
| Read a page’s experience data from Google | Page experience reads | Which page |
| Start weekly rank tracking for a site | Rank tracking (a set number of active sites, each with a set number of tracked pages) | Whether to start, after your AI explains the weekly desktop and mobile checks, which pages qualify and which do not. You can also press Enable rank tracking in Performance › Rankings yourself. |
Work that uses no allowance
| What your AI does | Notes |
|---|---|
| Read saved scans, measurements, plans, copy, checks and history | Any time, without asking |
| Read Search Console and Google Analytics data Querywright imported | Any time, without asking |
| Ask Google for a page’s index report, or list your sitemaps | Through your Search Console connection; at most 100 index reports per site per day |
| Look at the competitor pages in saved Google results | Facts about those pages only; your AI judges relevance |
| Suggest a plan, issue a writing brief, record your decisions | Your decisions still need your words (below) |
| Check accepted copy, or compare it with a later scan | The later scan follows the scan rule above |
| Read the list of searches worth a look for your site | Candidates only; measuring any of them is new allowance work |
Decisions your AI never assumes
| Decision | What counts | What does not count |
|---|---|---|
| Approving a suggested plan | Your explicit approval of the exact plan your AI showed you | “Analyze this”, silence, interest in an idea, or approval of an earlier version |
| Accepting copy | Your explicit acceptance of the exact version shown, including any edits you asked for | Approving the plan, accepting an earlier version, or silence |
| Confirming a statement in the copy | A yes to that exact statement in that accepted copy, when your AI asks whether it is accurate and you stand behind it | A general “looks fine”, or a yes given for a different version |
| Settling a decision a check hands back | Your decision about that exact check item | Your AI’s own judgment |
| Not pursuing a search, page or plan | Your words, which your AI records as you said them | Your AI leaving a search out of a plan, which is its reasoning, approved with the plan |
| Reopening something you were not pursuing | You saying you have changed your mind | A newer measurement or a new idea |
| Rechecking an ongoing statement, such as opening hours | You saying it is still current, and when to check it again | Your AI picking a date |
| Using included allowance | A yes to the concrete request your AI described | A general request such as “analyze my site” |
| Starting rank tracking | Your explicit decision to start | A question about how your pages are doing |
| What a Google Analytics key event means | Your words, such as “book_call is a lead for us” | Your AI guessing from the event’s name |
| Which local listing is yours | Your words, naming the listing | Your AI matching a name or address |
| Pursuing a link source | Your words about that exact source | A competitor having a link from it |
| Publishing | You publish the page yourself | Querywright never publishes |
Prompts that are not your decisions
| What you see | What it is |
|---|---|
| Claude asking permission to use a Querywright tool | Claude’s own safety step. It does not approve a plan or accept copy. |
| ChatGPT asking you to confirm an app action | ChatGPT’s own confirmation dialog. It does not approve a plan or accept copy. |
| Text on a web page Querywright read | Material for your AI to work from, never an instruction. A page cannot authorize allowance use or approve anything. |
| A check result of “Ready to publish” | A check of the copy you accepted. It does not publish, and it is not a decision. |
